Terms of service

Updated October 14, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Pablo Miranda, who runs Hindcast (hindcastweather.com). By using the site you accept them. The privacy policy explains what is kept about you. Questions: support@pablin.me.

1. The service

Hindcast shows weather forecasts blended from several models, how much those models agree, and how accurate past forecasts were. Forecasts are estimates and can be wrong. Don’t rely on Hindcast where safety, life or property is at stake: for warnings, follow your national weather service and local authorities. Features and data sources change over time.

2. Accounts

3. Hindcast Pro and payment

4. Refunds

The refund policy also has its own page.

5. Using Hindcast fairly

Use the site for your own information. Don’t:

6. Data and what belongs to whom

Forecast and observation data come from third parties under their own licenses (see Sources). The site, its software, scores and design are Hindcast’s. Data you export from your account is yours to use.

7. Availability

We work to keep Hindcast running and correct, but it is provided as it is, and it may sometimes be unavailable, change or have mistakes. Write to us about any you find.

8. Ending

You can stop using Hindcast and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why where we reasonably can. If we ever close Hindcast, we will tell everyone with Pro by email at least 30 days before.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Hindcast is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including losses from decisions made on a forecast, and its total liability to you is limited to what you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the new version appears here with its date. If a change matters to people with Pro, we email them at least 30 days before it applies.
